Today was a big day in our home. We have been slowly trying to get Lily potty trained. I am not really following any method or anything, I just wanted to get her used to the idea of potty training. She will be 2 in March and I have heard that potty training doesn't even started until like 2-3 1/2 years old so I wasn't thinking she would catch on. But she caught on sooner than I thought. We bought her a little potty and each night and morning we have been putting her on the potty. We have been teaching her what poop and pee are and she started telli
ng us when she goes in her diaper. And this last week she started asking us to sit on the potty (her tiny potty and even the big potty). And then this morning, I put her on the potty and when she got up she actually went pee! That was the first time she actually went in the potty. It was a great moment. I am on the fence about potty training because of the accidents and messes I will have to deal with and now I have to drop everything when she has to go potty (like if we are in the middle of grocery shopping). But it is a small price to pay when you think about the money I will save not buying 2 sizes of diapers! We will see how things go, I am not entirely ready to get things going in full force. I want to get a book to read or something.

Doesn't she look so proud?
